SICO Standard Importing Co., 77 Hudson St., New York, 2004
The Standard Importing Co. seems to have been formed around 1957 and to be have been in business in New York until around 1990. They were located in this building on Hudson St. near Harrison St. from 1965 to 1978.
The website trade.mar.cx described the business as "Cheese, olives, olive oil, halva, assorted pasta products, canned & preserved vegetables, spices."
The website opencorporates.com says the business was incorporated 14 June 1950 and was dissolved 23 November 1992.

This sign did not stand the test of time well. By 2010 only a few words at the bottom could still be read. Instead, an older sign for George F. Wagner Co. has bled through. See next page.
